Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and WIZ3R, a sole proprietorship in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada ("we") about Groovr.io: the plugin, its window, groovr.io and the AI service behind them. By installing Groovr.io or creating an account you accept them.

What Groovr.io is

Groovr.io is a plugin and companion app for Bitwig Studio and Ableton Live. It writes and changes material in the project you have open, at your request. You need your own copy of the DAW; Groovr.io is not affiliated with Bitwig GmbH or Ableton AG.

Your account

You must be at least 13 to use Groovr.io; if you are under 16, or under the age at which you can agree to these terms yourself where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to them for you. You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that email to yourself: whoever can read your sign-in codes can use your account. An account may be signed in on 3 computers at a time; you can sign one out from your account page. One free trial is given per person and per computer.

Plans and what they include

• Free trial. A one-time amount of AI credit, with no time limit. When it is used up and you have no plan, Groovr.io's tools and AI pause until you choose one.
• Groovr.io Cloud (monthly or yearly). All tools, and AI from Groovr.io up to a monthly allowance that does not carry over. After 12 paid months (a yearly plan counts as 12), you are given a license as below.
• License ("Own it"). All tools for as long as you like, and AI through your own key with the AI provider, paid by you to them. It includes a year of updates; versions released after that need an update renewal, and the versions you had keep working.
• AI top-ups. AI credit bought on its own, valid for 12 months.

AI credit has no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and is used in this order: this month's allowance, then trial credit, then top-ups, oldest first. Current prices are on groovr.io; we may change them for future purchases and renewals, with notice by email before a subscription renews at a new price.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the seller of record and collects applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal. Refunds follow our refund policy.

What you make is yours

You own the music you make with Groovr.io, including the notes and arrangements it writes at your request; we claim no rights in them. AI output can resemble existing music, and Groovr.io cannot know whether something it writes is close to a work someone else owns: what you release is your responsibility.

Using the service fairly

Do not use Groovr.io's AI for anything other than Groovr.io; do not try to get around its limits, its licensing or its sign-in; do not resell access; do not copy, decompile or redistribute Groovr.io except as the law allows. We may suspend an account that does, and refund what is unused where fair.

The AI provider

Groovr.io's AI is provided by Anthropic. Using it means following Anthropic's usage policy. If you use your own key, your use of it is between you and Anthropic.

Changes and availability

Groovr.io changes as we improve it, and a DAW update can break something until we catch up. We aim to keep the service available but do not promise it will always be. If we ever stop offering Groovr.io, licenses already bought keep working for the versions you have.

No warranty, and limits

Groovr.io is provided as it is. Keep backups of your projects: Groovr.io gives every change its own Undo, but it edits your project, and we are not liable for lost work. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising from Groovr.io is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using Groovr.io and delete your account at any time. We may end these terms for an account that breaks them. Sections on what you own, warranty and limits survive.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without taking away any rights your own country's consumer law gives you.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect.
